- Written by Grace T. Lefever
With colored leaves all falling here and there.
We stand in awe as each turn gives more views.
Revealing brilliant colors of all hues:
From darkest greens, to rusts and reds and gold
God's glorious canopy does silently unfold.
Then thanks and praise flow out from grateful hearts
As we feel the blessings God imparts.
The autumn of our lives brings changes, too,
But God's enfolding grace will see us through.
Whatever happens each and every day
We put our faith in Him, and then obey.
We know He gently leads, and we will follow
Through rugged mountains steep, or in a hollow;
But in the end we'll sing and shout and praise
And thank our Great Creator all our days.
