Cost: Suggested donation $10. Veterans attend free.

Bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket and water.

*Please Note: We are sorry to announce that, effective Saturday 8/27, Stoverstown Community Yoga classes will be cancelled due to financial unsustainability. We are committed to holding successful yoga classes in the community and have a goal of resuming classes in January 2017. Please watch for updates and continue to practice yoga with Alena Interrupted, other local instructors, or on your own.

Reiki in Hospitals: Presented by Helene Williams, RN BSN

  Reiki is increasingly finding its way into institutional settings, from hospitals to hospices.

Helene Williams, RN BSN has practiced Reiki at Lancaster General Heath since 2007. Her nursing role includes providing Reiki for total joint replacement patients and she can attest to the many benefits it provides, including promoting relaxation, relieving anxiety and easing pain. Each meeting will include a shared potluck lunch, site tour and review of PASA's activities for the last fiscal year, as well as a chance to meet candidates running for our Board of Directors.

1:50 - 2:50- A tour / discussion about The Seed Farm with Program Director, Amy Cook.  Amy will discuss The Seed Farm's current operations and plans to pause training programs in 2017 to focus attention on incubator programming to help develop new farm businesses. She will also give us an overview of conservation practices used at The Seed Farm. 

3:00-4:00pm- Review of PASA's financial report & activities for the past fiscal year. Open question-and-answer period.

4:00pm- Final comments / clean-up

Farm to City 2016

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: Walk to End Violence Against Women


Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international men’s march that raises awareness and funds to eliminate gender violence in local communities. Men and boys take part in a mile-long walk through Downtown York in women’s high heels. Women and families are also welcome to walk in support of their high-heeled man and raise money to sponsor walkers. 


Prizes are given to top fundraisers in the following categories: Top Individual, Top Team and Top Family Pair (father/son or any family combination).
